About this role
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Construction. Tasks: Select type of insulation required. Apply and secure insulation using spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping and other application and installation methods. Install vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials. Brush waterproofing cement or other material over insulating materials. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Area of specialization: Spraying and blowing insulation. Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years. Employment terms options: Day. Support for newcomers and refugees: Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: housing, transportation, storage, childcare, winter clothing, etc.). Support for youths: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
