*Job Overview* We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver - Class 1 to join our transportation team. This role involves safely operating commercial vehicles to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle heavy equipment and freight logistics efficiently. Experience with forklift operation, automotive repair, or heavy equipment is considered a valuable asset.
*Responsibilities*
* Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks for local and long-distance freight deliveries * Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed * Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations * Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs * Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle operability * Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation activities * Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams regarding delivery schedules and issues
*Qualifications*
* Valid Class 1 commercial driver?s license (CDL) with a clean driving record * Experience in commercial driving, freight handling, or related fields preferred * Knowledge of forklift operation and heavy equipment operation is a plus * Basic automotive repair skills are advantageous * Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently * Strong organizational skills with attention to detail * Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures diligently
