We are looking for a motivated person to join a team of passionate kitchen staff as a prep/line cook. You?ll have
the opportunity to work in a kitchen that keeps the menu fresh and interesting, cares about team involvement and
progress, and fosters community engagement and relations. We host many local events such as the Guelph Beer
Bus and Trivia nights, private events in our Ward Room and Beer Hall, and run special dishes in tandem and
collaboration with the bar to create interesting and tasty items. The ideal candidate cares about creating a positive
environment along with passion and attention to detail for the food we create and serve.

Responsibilities of the job
? Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to recipes and specifications
? Support cooking processes by following established procedures and safety guidelines
? Handle food safely and adhere to hygiene standards throughout meal preparation.
? Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep station and kitchen areas
? Assist with meal preparation during busy service times to ensure timely delivery of dishes
? Help with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of supplies needed
? Support the serving staff by preparing items for plating or presentation as needed
? Attends culinary meetings as required
? Engaging with the team (both BOH and FOH) in a productive and collaborative manner
? Other duties as required from time to time
Skills
? Experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or food service environment
? Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
? Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen operations
? Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
? Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
? Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
? Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
? Food Handlers Cert.
Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
