Education: College/CEGEP. Tasks: Consult with dentists on patient care. Instruct patients regarding oral hygiene. Clean and stimulate the gums to prevent gum disease. Apply fluoride treatment. Remove stains and deposits from teeth. Take, develop and mount X-rays. Diagnose type and severity of diseases. Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, co-ordinate and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families.
