About this role
*Overview* We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food and beverage industry, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks, managing the bar area, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
*Responsibilities*
* Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards * Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and making recommendations * Operate the POS system efficiently, including processing transactions and handling cash * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and restocking supplies * Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service guidelines * Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food orders when applicable * Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner * Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed
*Requirements*
* Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred * Familiarity with TOAST POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus * Strong time management skills to handle busy shifts effectively * Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanour * Knowledge of food safety practices and food handling procedures * Basic math skills for cash handling and drink preparation measurements * Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated * A passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences for guests
