*Position Summary*
The In-House Legal Counsel will be responsible for providing practical and strategic legal advice on a wide range of matters, including contracts, corporate governance, employment matters, and risk management.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Provide legal advice and support to management on business operations, contracts, risk management, and corporate matters. * Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts, agreements, and other legal documents. * Support real estate transactions, and financing arrangements. * Advise on employment, regulatory, compliance, and corporate governance matters. * Advise on legal disputes, claims, and litigation. * Develop and maintain company policies, procedures, and risk management strategies. * Monitor changes in legislation and advise leadership on potential business impacts. * Assist with corporate structuring, strategic initiatives, and business growth opportunities.
*Qualifications*
* Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from an accredited institution. * Member in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta. * 3+ years of legal experience, either in private practice or an in-house environment.
