Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Rural area. Prefab/shop fabrication. Tasks: Construct clay models and moulds for use in casting concrete products. Build and repair wooden frames used to mould concrete products. Check products for quality control. Perform ongoing machine adjustments. Position reinforcing rods or wire mesh in moulds. Fill moulds with concrete. Read blueprint, schemas and drawings. Operate vibrating tables to settle concrete. Remove castings from moulds. Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures. Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification. Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement. Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools. Type of materials: Reinforcing membrane and protective covering. Light weight concrete. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Accurate. Team player.
