Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry. Work setting: Private practice. Clinic. Tasks: Diagnose diseases and physiological disorders. Prescribe post-operation medication and treatment . Treat diseases, injuries and deformities. Study the nature, cause and development of diseases and the structural and functional changes caused by diseases. Act as consultants to other physicians. Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
