About this role
We?re looking for a *Labourer* to join our Deep Utilities Department. Competitive compensation up to $25 per hour is commensurate with the experience of the successful applicant.
*Qualifications*
Applicants must:
* Have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a similar role; * Install PVC, concrete, HDPE piping material; * Install manholes, catch basins; * Be willing to attest to their physical fitness; * Be able to take direction; * Be flexible and function effectively with others or alone; * Ensure materials are properly bedded; * Knowledgeable in the use of lasers, grade rods or transit levels; * Understand elevations and grading. * Have knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures.
Safety Tickets (e.g. Class 1, Ground Disturbance, Confined Space Entry, H2S, First Aid) are an advantage.
*Responsibilities*
The successful applicant will:
* Maintain the equipment and tools in good condition. * Perform all tasks associated with deep utility services including, but not limited to
- Operating the equipment, - Shoveling, - Work long hours - Lifting
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
