About this role
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. Tasks: Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities. Assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up and assembling of medical equipment. Assist with maintenance and repair of medical equipment. Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort. Perform other duties related to personal care. Supply and empty bed pans. Serve meal trays and feed patients. Weigh, lift, turn and position patients. Make beds and maintain patients' rooms. Bathe, dress and groom patients. Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher. Answer call signals to determine patients' needs. Provide personal care. Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene. Help clients manage physical illness and disorders. Monitor patients and advise physician of any changes in patients' condition. Communicate with other workers to co-ordinate the preparation and completion of work assignments. Exercise to maintain physical ability and physical fitness.
