*Job Summary* Direct Courier Inc. is hiring reliable experienced and dedicated _full-time _Class 5 and Class 3 Truck Drivers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe transportation and delivery of building supplies, including skids, boxes, bundles, and pipes, to various locations in Calgary and the surrounding areas, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, physical stamina, and familiarity with warehouse operations. The Truck Driver will play a vital role in the efficient movement of products and materials across multiple sites.
*Work Schedule:*
Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with local routes in Calgary and the surrounding areas.
*Responsibilities*
* Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods and materials to designated locations * Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual handling, ensuring proper securing of loads * Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations * Assist with warehouse tasks such as moving inventory, organizing shipments, and maintaining cleanliness * Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues * Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely deliveries and professional interactions * Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation duties
*Experience*
* Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver?s license suitable for the vehicle type * Warehouse experience preferred, including familiarity with moving equipment such as forklifts * Experience in heavy lifting and manual handling of cargo * Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members and customers * Knowledge of safety procedures related to transportation and warehouse operations * Prior experience using forklifts or other material handling equipment is a plus
