For over 70 years, Ellis Glass has been a leader in the glazing industry specializing in curtain wall, store-fronts and custom architectural glazing systems. With the 401, 402 & 403 highways minutes away from our head office in Woodstock Ontario, Ellis Glass has been able to grow significantly in all directions with great success. As we continue to grow and continue to be at the forefront of our industry, Ellis Glass is expanding our back shop and are looking to hire a full-time glass cutter!
The Glass Cutter position will consist of the following:
- Cutting & fabricating all types of monolithic glass products (laminated, mirror, etc)
- Shipping & receiving products when required
- Packaging finished materials
- Loading and unloading materials
- Deliver materials to site with company vehicle
- Work on jobsites under lead journeymen when required
- General maintenance of both machines and the back shop
The candidate for this position must have a valid G drivers license and ability to lift materials over 50lbs. This position requires a candidate that can complete orders with strict deadlines. Proper safety protective equipment is required (steel toe boots, etc). This position will also require overtime when needed to ensure all orders are fulfilled.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
Experience: * Glass Cutting: 2 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification: * G (preferred)
