*Job Summary* We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Counsellor to support students' emotional, social, and academic development. The ideal candidate will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to foster a positive learning environment. This role requires strong communication skills, empathy, and experience working with children in educational settings. The School Counsellor will play a vital role in promoting student well-being and helping students navigate personal challenges.
*Duties*
* Provide individual and group counselling sessions to students to address emotional, behavioral, and social issues * Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop strategies that support student success and well-being * Assist students with developing coping skills, conflict resolution, and decision-making abilities * Support students with special education needs by coordinating appropriate interventions and accommodations * Conduct assessments to identify student needs and recommend appropriate resources or referrals * Organize workshops or programs focused on mental health awareness, social skills, and resilience building * Maintain confidential records of counselling sessions and student progress * Engage with parents and guardians to discuss student concerns and progress as needed
*Experience*
* Prior classroom experience or teaching background is highly desirable * Proven experience working with children in educational or counselling settings * Familiarity with special education practices is a plus * Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, teachers, and administrators * Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy * Experience in developing individualized support plans or behavioral interventions is advantageous
