*Overview* We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized *Real Estate Law Clerk* to join our legal team in midtown Toronto. The ideal candidate will support the firm?s real estate practice. *Duties*
* Carriage of Real Estate files from beginning to end * Preparation of all related documents for purchase and sale transactions, mortgage transactions, routine loan transactions and refinancing (on behalf of lenders and borrowers from both private and institutional lenders) * Standard document production in relation to property acquisitions, dispositions and financings * Conduct and review title searches, oversee off-title searches and draft requisition letters and responses * Deal directly with clients, financial institutions, municipalities, land registry offices and title insurance * companies * Prepare record books promptly following completion of files * Produce the highest quality of work * Accountable for all work assigned * Take initiative * Maintain Confidentiality
Requirements
* *1-2 years? minimum experience as a Real Estate Law Clerk* * Successful completion of law clerk program * ILCO certification, not mandatory * Proficiency with Teraview * Solid understanding of the Real Estate transaction process * MS Office Suite of Applications * Strong verbal and written communication * Ability to problem solve * Good judgement and decision making * Strong interpersonal skills * Organized, resourceful and detailed * Self starter
Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
