Position: Physiotherapist Assistant (PTA)
Status: Part-time ( Flexible schedule)
Location: Family Physiotherapy Centres at our Merivale clinic and 2 retirement homes
Setting: Dual-role (In-clinic support + One-on-one retirement home treatments)
Position Overview
We are a thriving, patient-centered physiotherapy clinic looking for a passionate and reliable Physiotherapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team. This unique role offers a dynamic split of environments: you will spend a few hours a week supporting our team in the clinic, and also provide vital, one-on-one physiotherapy treatments to seniors directly within local retirement residences.

Key Responsibilities
In-Clinic Support (Few hours/week):
Assist Physiotherapists with modalities, exercise supervision, and patient setups.
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming clinic environment.
Help manage patient flow and light administrative tracking where needed.
Retirement Home Care (One-on-One):
Travel to designated local retirement homes to implement prescribed physiotherapy treatment plans.
Deliver dedicated, one-on-one exercise programs, mobility training, and therapeutic interventions to residents.
Provide compassionate encouragement and support to seniors to help them maintain or regain independence.
Communication & Documentation:
Regularly communicate patient progress, status changes, and feedback to the supervising Physiotherapist.
Maintain accurate tracking of treatment sessions.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Graduate of an accredited Physiotherapist Assistant (PTA) or PTA/OTA diploma program.
Experience: Previous experience working with a geriatric population or in a home-care/retirement setting is highly valued.
Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, excellent time management, and the ability to work independently in the community.
Clearances: A current Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)

Competitive Compensation: Hourly rate commensurate with experience.

Pay: $17.60-$32.00 per hour
