*Job Overview*
We are seeking an experienced Baker to join our production team at The Pastry Box. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-volume bakery production, with the ability to consistently produce premium-quality baked goods while meeting daily production targets. You will have excellent knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient handling, and quality control, along with a strong commitment to food safety, consistency, and attention to detail. The successful candidate is reliable, efficient, and takes pride in producing exceptional products in a fast-paced production environment.
*Duties*
* Prepare and bake a variety of bakery products according to production schedules and company recipes. * Scale, mix, portion, shape, proof, bake, and finish products while maintaining consistent quality standards. * Operate bakery equipment safely and efficiently throughout the production process. * Monitor product quality, ensuring consistency in appearance, texture, and taste. * Package and label finished products for distribution. * Maintain a clean and organized production workspace while following all food safety and sanitation standards. * Accurately measure and handle ingredients to minimize waste and maximize efficiency. * Assist with inventory rotation and report ingredient or supply shortages. * Work collaboratively with the production team to meet daily production targets and deadlines. * Follow all company procedures, recipes, and quality control standards.
*Experience*
* Minimum of 2?3 years of professional baking experience in a commercial or production bakery. * Strong knowledge of bread, pastry, and baked goods production techniques. * Experience working in a high-volume production environment. * Thorough understanding of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP principles. * Ability to follow standardized recipes and production schedules with accuracy. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing consistent, high-quality products. * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting production deadlines. * Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a production team.
*Work Schedule*
* Monday to Friday: *1:30 PM ? 10:00 PM* * Occasional Saturday shifts may be required based on production demands and business needs. * Candidates must be flexible and available to work overtime during peak production periods when required.
