Reporting to the Fabrication Supervisor the CNC Set-up Operator organizes and sets up the manufacturing equipment to produce finished good to spec as identified by the engineering drawings.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe duties and responsibilities of the CNC Set-up Operator are detailed below, but not limited to the following:Set-Up and operate all CNC and other machines in the Fabrication Department in an effective and cost-efficient manner while maintaining good quality and safety standards; some programming may be requiredMake adjustments to the machining program as requiredFabricate the required parts based on the Fabrication DrawingPerform required PM checks daily as requiredFollow work order specifications and packing instructionsRead and follow all notes in the computer system (Epics)Ensure first piece sample is double-checked by other plant personnelEnsure material is identified and all work order data is correct before productionEnsure incoming materials are to spec before proceeding with fabricationResponsible for reporting equipment malfunctionOn-time order completionComply with all quality related policies, procedures and system requirementsPerform other jobs as requiredRequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Experience High School diploma and relevant production experience is desirableSome education in CNC is considered a strong asset Candidates should have a minimum of 1-2 years' experience in CNC Set-Up/Machine OperationTechnical Skills/CompetenceMust have good team building and motivational skillsShould have a good command in English, written and oral with the ability to train other employeesMust be familiar with precision measuring instruments and the ability to read drawingsAbility to work well with numbers is essentialA solid understanding of the following equipment/technology; CNC machine, square, tape measure, punch press/press brake, Mastercam software, linear measuring machine, weighting scale, drills, digital calliper, Faro cmm, calculator deburring wheelExperience with Epics considered an assetBenefitsWe offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package that goes beyond base pay, supporting your health, growth, and long-term success:Profit SharingHealth & Dental Health Care Spending AccountEducation Assistance Program Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Company Events Floater Days Paid Holidays Shift PremiumsAnnual safety footwear reimbursement programThe expected pay range for this position is $22.44 ? $27.55 per hour.
