Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive *HR Supervisor* to support our growing operations in the construction and building materials industry. This role will be responsible for managing day-to-day HR functions, supporting recruitment, and ensuring smooth communication between management and local teams.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, people-oriented, and familiar with the Canadian construction or engineering business environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee daily HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations * Support hiring efforts for sales, operations, and technical roles * Act as a bridge between management and employees, ensuring clear communication * Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures * Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with Ontario labor regulations * Handle employee inquiries, conflict resolution, and performance tracking * Coordinate training and team development initiatives * Support payroll coordination and benefits administration
Qualifications
* 3+ years of HR experience in Canada (experience in construction, engineering, or related industries preferred) * Strong understanding of Ontario employment standards * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced and multicultural environment * Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
Preferred (Nice to Have)
* Experience working with *local contractors, builders, or engineering teams* * Familiarity with *Canadian workplace culture and communication style* * Strong ability to build relationships with *local clients and partners* * Multilingual ability is an asset
