Eastern Urban Zone is seeking two (2) full-time Hospitalist Physicians within the Primary Health Care Program. The successful candidates will report to the Clinical Chief of Primary Health Care, Eastern Urban Zone.The Hospitalist will work independently providing services in acute inpatient care, chronic disease management, palliative care, and emergency care and patient stabilization. Successful candidates will be expected to perform clinical assessments and provide medical oversight for patients with common diagnoses including pneumonia, gastroenteritis, congestive heart failure, transient ischemic events, mild acute kidney injury, cellulitis, and related conditions. Patients of higher acuity or outside the scope of practice of the Hospitalist will be consulted to Internal Medicine or other specialty groups as appropriate.
