*Responsibilities*
* Assist optometrist during patient examinations and procedures. * Perform preliminary tests such as visual acuity, tonometry, and retinal imaging. * Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) and update patient information in the system. * Manage front desk operations including scheduling appointments, answering phones, and greeting patients. * Provide patients with information regarding their eye health and treatment options. * Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment. * Collaborate with team members to enhance patient experience and office efficiency.
*Experience*
* Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred, particularly in optometry or ophthalmology. * Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Med Access. * Knowledge of medical terminology related to eye care is essential. * Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent patient care are required. * Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
