The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and developmental health.Pediatric services include outpatient clinics, Emergency Department call coverage, inpatient coverage, routine neonatal care, and attendance at difficult deliveries. There is opportunity to participate in interdisciplinary clinics in the areas of development, behaviour, obesity, and chronic disease, with further diversification based on the physician's interests. The position offers a vigorous and varied caseload and the fulfillment of serving families in this rural part of the province.????????????????????????????????????????QUALIFICATIONSEligible for registration and licensure as a Pediatrician with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (www.cpsnl.ca)Must satisfy credentialing requirements of NL Health ServicesRecent changes to registration have reduced barriers and allow doctors with comparable credentials to work in our province more quickly ? approved licensure pathways now exist for specialists from Ireland, the UK, USA, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, and other CPSNL-approved jurisdictions????????????????????????????????????????DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESProvide comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescentsProvide on-call duties within the departmentDeliver outpatient clinic, Emergency Department, and inpatient coverageProvide routine neonatal care and attend difficult deliveriesParticipate in interdisciplinary clinics (development, behaviour, obesity, chronic disease)Work within a regional team with a focus on person- and family-centered carePromote patient and worker safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks, and implementing improvements????????????????????????????????????????REMUNERATIONRemuneration will be in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement for salaried physicians in Newfoundland and Labrador.Available Incentives:We offer competitive incentives of up to $275,000 CAD for Pediatricians, recognizing your passion, dedication, and all that you will bring to our communities.
