If you have a strong work ethic, are motivated, and want to be part of a collaborative and continuously growing team, this opportunity is for you.YOUR ROLE- As a heavy equipment mechanic, you will be responsible for working in the field (outdoors, year-round) to perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and full overhauls of heavy equipment in the fleet in a fast and efficient manner. You will contribute to the maintenance team by performing, among other things, the following tasks:- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment- Replace components- Perform large-scale overhauls and rebuilds- Work with the supervisor on various tasks- Support continuous improvement of equipment- Provide field maintenance support- Test systems and components to isolate faults- Notify the team lead of any additional required repairs- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area- Any other related tasks as requiredNOTE: This description is not exhaustive; other tasks may be assigned by management.REQUIREMENTS- DEP in construction equipment (heavy equipment) mechanics or equivalent;- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferred;- Intermediate-advanced spoken and written French;- Experience in engine and/or component rebuilds is considered an asset;- Hydraulic testing experience is an asset;- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical diagrams;- Experience with Konecranes, Fantuzzi, Kalmar, and warranty systems preferred;- Recognized problem-solving skills, strong communication, and ability to work within a diverse and dynamic team;- Well organized, strong communicator, and highly punctual;- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment;- Excellent problem-solving abilities;- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision;- Legally authorized to work in Canada;- Valid Class 5 driver?s license;BENEFITS- Group insurance after 90 days of employment (health, life, disability, telemedicine, travel)- Free on-site parking- Friendly and close-knit team environment- Year-round company eventsGT GROUP is committed to employment equity.
