Job Description Job DescriptionNow Hiring: Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic Location: Alberta Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy-duty trucks and equipment while ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently. Responsibilities
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic issues on heavy-duty trucks and equipment. • Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing. • Complete inspections and repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and Alberta safety standards. • Conduct safety inspections and identify potential mechanical concerns. • Maintain accurate service records and work orders. • Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment. • Respond to breakdowns and emergency repairs as required. • Work independently and as part of a team to minimize equipment downtime. Qualifications
• Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician Certificate (Alberta) or Red Seal Certification required. • Experience working on heavy-duty trucks and equipment. • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. • Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and air brakes. • Valid Class 5 driver's license (Class 1 or Class 3 with air brake endorsement is considered an asset). • CVIP License is considered an asset but not required. • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment. • Strong communication skills and attention to detail. • Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
