Grace Village ? Massawippi Retirement Communities Sherbrooke, QC Full-Time | Flexible Schedule Reports to: Executive Director At Grace Village, our mission is to provide Excellent, Loving and Compassionate Care to seniors in our community. We are seeking an experienced and collaborative Buildings & Grounds Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety, and long-term stewardship of our residence. This individual will lead a small team, manage preventative maintenance programs, coordinate contractors, and contribute to strategic projects, including the future development of autonomous apartment-style living spaces. What You'll Do: Facilities Operations
• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment; • Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs; • Coordinate plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and infrastructure repairs; • Maintain maintenance records and service documentation. Leadership & Operations
• Lead, support, and schedule the Buildings & Grounds team; • Assist with onboarding, coaching, and employee development; • Collaborate with leaders across departments; • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and service excellence. Contractor & Resource Management
• Coordinate external contractors and service providers; • Source materials, supplies, and equipment; • Monitor the quality and safety of completed work. Strategic Projects
• Participate in facility improvement initiatives; • Support the development of future autonomous apartment-style living spaces; • Contribute to long-term infrastructure planning. What We Are Looking For: Qualifications
• Postsecondary education or equivalent experience in facilities management, construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or a related field; • Minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience; • Strong knowledge of building systems and preventative maintenance; • Knowledge of construction laws, regulations, and project management principles is an asset; • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is an asset; • Valid driver's licence; • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks; • Availability to respond to operational emergencies outside regular business hours when required.
