Job Duties
* Install residential, commercial, and industrial fencing including wood, chain-link, ornamental steel, vinyl, and privacy fencing. * Measure and lay out fence lines according to project specifications. * Dig post holes using hand tools and powered equipment. * Set and align fence posts in concrete. * Install fence panels, rails, gates, hardware, and accessories. * Read and interpret site plans, drawings, and work orders. * Operate hand tools, power tools, compact equipment, and other construction-related equipment. * Load, unload, and transport fencing materials to and from job sites. * Perform fence repairs, modifications, and maintenance work as required. * Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company quality standards and workplace safety requirements. * Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Skills Requirements
Education:
* Secondary school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience installing commercial fencing. * Experience with wood, chain-link, ornamental, and vinyl fence systems is considered an asset. * Experience operating construction tools and equipment required.
Additional Requirements:
* Valid Ontario driver's licence considered an asset. * Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. * Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. * Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
