LOCATION: Regina, SK
*Overview* We are seeking a skilled Truck & Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience in working on Truck and Trailers. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that all units are safe and operational.
*Duties*
*Maintaining top-notch performance:* Diagnose mechanical issues in Truck & Trailers. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal operation.
*Hands-on expertise: *Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems, keeping our fleet running smoothly. Utilize power tools effectively for repairs and maintenance tasks.
*Quick response to repairs:* Address unscheduled breakdowns with precision and efficiency to minimize downtime.
* *Problem-solving skills:* Troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions for our commercial transport vehicles. Collaborate with team members to complete projects in a timely manner. * *Work Area Safety:* Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency. Follow all safety protocols while working with industrial equipment.
*Experience*
*Minimum of 2 years verified experience or Red Seal Accreditation.*
* 1. Proven experience in automotive repair or heavy equipment operation is preferred. * 2. Customer focused with a strong work ethic to produce quality work in a timely manner to meet the needs of our customers, including the ability to dig into complex mechanical systems. * 3. Experience working in a dealership environment is an asset. * 4. Proficiency in using power tools and industrial equipment safely. * 5. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role. * 6. Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet project deadlines. * 7. Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift up to 75 lbs frequently * 8. High degree of product and technical knowledge with a well-rounded understanding of on-highway transport vehicles
