About this role
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions. Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy. Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : AZ class license. Commercial Vehicle Operator's Registration (CVOR) Certificate. Documentation knowledge: Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Transportation/travel experience: Long-haul.
