Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Manufacture and assemble in the factory the ducts for hot air heating, air conditioning and ventilation. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Measure and mark sheet metal according to template. Operate metalworking machines to cut, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal. Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces. Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification. Operate plasma cutters. Cut materials using power tools or by hand. Fit and join sheet metal parts. Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes. Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products. Type of materials: Stainless steel. Welding techniques: Oxy-acetylene. Gas metal ARC (GMAW) (MIG). Resistance or spot welding. Shielded metal ARC (SMAW). Gas tungsten ARC (GTAW) (TIG). TIG. MIG.
