Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to plan methods or sequences of operation . Operate heavy equipment. Read blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Use International Organization for Standardization (ISO) pattern joystick controls. Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks. Measure distance, volume, length and weight. Operate computer controlled equipment. Understand the purpose, proper usgage and information found on material safety data sheets (MSDS). Complete onboard and other logs. Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment. Secure special attachments to equipment. Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment. Perform minor repairs to equipment. Operate hydraulic pumping systems. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Own vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Fast-paced environment. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
