Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Chronic or long-term care facilities/centres. Tasks: Co-ordinate special events. Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods. Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef. Inspect kitchens and food service areas. Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment. Clean kitchen and work areas. Organize buffets and banquets. Manage kitchen operations. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Safe Food Handling certificate. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Child Abuse Registry check. Immunization records. Tuberculosis test.
