Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Hog and pig farming. Hog management. Work setting: Rural area. Tasks: Boar semen collection. Monitoring animal health. Perform pig littering activities such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medication(s), identification of piglets, and castration. Treat livestock health issues. Weaning. Feed and tend animals. Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed. Maintain quality control and production records. Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens. Perform general farm duties. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Ability to work independently. Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Physically demanding.
