The Production Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all operators are in compliance with company policies, procedures, and Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHS&S) regulations at all times. This individual must have sufficient knowledge of plant operations in order to operate any plant as required in an emergency situation.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Key Responsibilities</b></H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Directs, coaches, and mentors hourly plant operators to ensure that production goals and objectives are achieved. Responsible for employee development, performance reviews, and initiates corrective action as required.</li> <li>Ensures that staff are trained in complex, specific plant activities and are following standard operating procedures; facilitates/co-facilitates safety trainings as needed. Oversees on the job training, and organizes cross training for all operators, including new hires.</li> <li>Schedules production, labor, and maintenance resources to ensure efficient operation of the production processes; delegates tasks accordingly.</li> <li>Answers questions and provides guidance related to processes and procedures including, but not limited to troubleshooting, responding to work-related equipment and/or coworker issues as needed.</li> <li>Identifies and implements opportunities to improve quality control processes; analyzes, gathers dat samples to ensure quality products and reduce operating costs. Follows up with projects and work orders. Reports any environmental or safety concerns within time requirements to the appropriate officials.</li> <li>Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all rules and regulations, and continuously practices safety while performing duties; ensures that all coworkers and anyone entering the plant are maintaining a safe working environment.</li> <li>Wears the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to steel-toed boots, safety glasses, hard hat, ear protection, and gloves when entering specified plant areas at all times.
