In this role, the manager will oversee both the AR Specialist team and the AR Research team. The individual will also be in charge of reviewing and approving sales orders for new customers, and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external customers. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <ul style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in" type="disc"> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Maintain healthy inflows of cash by leading the team’s collection efforts</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Reduce bad debt balances and prevent balances from going into bad debt</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Reduce balances aged 91+ days</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Identify accounts at risk of aging and work proactively to mitigate risk</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Lead Accounts Receivable Specialists by providing clear direction to reduce aging risks across all sales types</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Lead Accounts Receivable Research Analysts by providing direction on reconciliation of disputed account balances</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Understand invoicing language in major account contracts and provide support to properly collect on these accounts and minimize aging risk</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Develop and improve process to address cash application, project reconciliation, order intake, and other processes that flow thru accounts receivable as appropriate</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Provide reporting to leadership on a weekly/monthly basis addressing current AR status and risk</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Work cross functionally to improve processes and gain buy-in on collection efforts</li> </ul> SKILL REQUIREMENTS AND PERFORMANCE CRITERIA The ideal Account Manager for AR is a self-motivated, organized, proactive, problem solver with a positive attitude. <ul style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in" type="disc"> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Undergraduate degree in Accounting or related field</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">A clear understanding of accounting principles including accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, credits and debits, chargebacks, cash application, and credit terms.</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Cross-functional leader</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Proficient in Microsoft Office Product-emphasis on Outlook, EXCEL, and WORD</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Full understanding of the business cycle from sale to collections</li> <li style="margin-top:0.0in;margin-right:0.0in;margin-bottom:0.0in;font-size:12.0pt;font-family:'Times New Roman', serif">Strong aptitude and working knowledge of ERP systems such as Microsoft AX or similar</li> </ul> #LI-VS1 We are the ASSA ABLOY Group Our people have made us the global leader in access solutions.
