Specialty: Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN), part of Jefferson Health, is seeking a physician leader to oversee our growing anesthesiology services for solid organ transplant and vascular surgery. We currently perform more than 40 liver and 150 kidney transplants per year, including a robust living-related donor program using advanced robotic surgical platforms, and a vascular surgery service employing advanced open and endovascular repair techniques. The successful candidate will meet the criteria of the American Society of Anesthesiologists to be our Director of Liver Transplant Anesthesia and lead our team in collaboration with our medical and surgical colleagues at our Level I Trauma Center to continue growing and supporting our Liver Transplant Program. Position Overview:
• Lead the Lehigh Valley program for anesthesiology services in solid organ transplant and vascular surgery. • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team supported by 24/7 coverage. • Enjoy flexibility with customizable operating room (OR) clinical responsibilities or an OR/ICU split for candidates with critical care medicine training. • Contribute to a robust academic environment, including our anesthesiology residency program and 17 ACGME-accredited training programs. • Participate in and pursue supported clinical research opportunities. Job Qualifications:
• Passion for clinical work to positively impact patient care, safety and experience. • Must be board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology, with credentials meeting the American Society of Anesthesiologists' criteria for director of liver transplant anesthesia. • A valid Pennsylvania medical license or ability to obtain one.
