Role Description: Purchasing Management:
• Manage the logistics required to promptly supply all necessary goods and ingredients to each Los Tacos No.1 location • Schedule orders for all goods and ingredients • Manage the transport plans for the collection and delivery of all purchased goods • Optimize and control inventory levels of all goods and ingredients • Establish and oversee the audit process to ensure accurate pricing and quantities are delivered • Forecast the cost of all purchased goods and ingredients • Monitor and report on the department’s financials • Manage the theoretical food costs and compare with the actual reported food costs on a weekly basis and report on variances • Ensure the Purchasing department meets its financial targets • Research new products and technology to support Purchasing, and make recommendations to senior leadership • Review the internal ordering process and work towards improving the system to a more streamlined platform • Undertake special assignments in relation to inventory management, procurement, product distribution, and other related areas
Vendor Management:
• Negotiate contracts in the most favorable terms for Los Tacos No.1 • Develop and nurture new vendor relationships
Staff Management:
• Embody the culture of Los Tacos. No. 1 • Recruit, hire, and onboard all Purchasing staff members • Lead the professional development and performance management of all Purchasing staff members
Qualifications: Work Experience Requirement:
• 5+ years of experience in a Purchasing role with direct reports, preferably in the hospitality industry • Prior experience with R365 required • Technologically adept in Microsoft 365 Suite, especially Excel • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and leadership skills Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related field • Proven experience in procurement, supply chain management, and vendor relations • Strong negotiation, budgeting, and cost analysis skills • Familiarity with inventory management and forecasting tools • Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities • Knowledge of food and beverage industry regulations and standards is a plus • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
