About this role
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Casual Clinical Imaging Assistant to join our Darling Downs team. This role supports radiographers and clinical staff in delivering high-quality patient care across a range of imaging modalities. You will play a vital role in patient preparation, clinical assistance, and maintaining a safe and efficient imaging environment.
About the Role
As a Casual Clinical Assistant, you will provide essential support to our clinical team of Radiographer, Sonographers and Nurses while ensuring patients receive a high standard of care.
Key Responsibilities
• Assisting radiographers and other clinical staff during imaging procedures
• Supporting patient care by understanding relevant clinical backgrounds and ensuring accurate patient identification • Preparing and supporting patients before, during, and after imaging examinations • Undertaking patient cannulation and preparation for imaging across multiple modalities, including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-ray, and interventional procedures • Obtaining and confirming patient consent in accordance with clinical and organisational policies • Patient transport and provision of general clinical assistance • Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised clinical environment • Stock management and preparation of imaging equipment • Adhering to infection control standards and workplace health and safety requirement
About You
• Previous experience in a healthcare or clinical setting (desirable but not essential) • Certificate III or IV in Health Services Assistance or similar (preferred but not required) • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused • Flexible availability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Reliable with a strong work ethic
