What you will do:
Lead the design and evolution of our data platform from architecture to production with a focus on reliability, cost, and scaleDrive decisions on data stack and platform standards across teamsBuild and optimize high-performance data services and pipelines (batch and streaming) for large-scale workloadsOwn production operations for file- and event-based systems: monitoring, incident response (on-call), and continuous improvement to meet SLAsMentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and hands-on pairing, raise the bar for testing, security, and observabilityCollaborate with partner teams and customers to deliver data products end to endReduce technical debt and simplify systems with clean interfaces and clear patternsThis is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice. #LI-Remote
Basic Requirements:
Strong software engineering background building distributed systems at scaleProficiency in Golang or PythonFamiliarity with modern streaming processing (Kinesis, Flink, Spark) Cloud computing skills (preferable AWS) and hybrid designsData platform tooling: Terraform (IaC), Docker and Kubernetes (prod) and Airflow (or similar orchestration)Observability and SRE mindset: Grafana, CloudWatch (logs, metrics, traces), on-call ownership, SLA thinkingStrong SQL skillsVersioning and CI/CD: Git GitHub, pipelines (e.g. Codefresh) or similarEnglish: B2 level or aboveBe based in Brazil Visa is an EEO Employer.
