What you will do:
Contribute to the design and evolution of the data platform, ensuring reliability, cost efficiency, and scalabilityImplement and optimize high-performance data services and pipelines (batch and streaming) for large-scale workloadsSupport production operations for file- and event-based systems: monitoring, incident response (on-call), and continuous improvement to meet SLAsParticipate in code and design reviews, promoting best practices in testing, security, and observabilityCollaborate with partner teams and internal customers to deliver end-to-end data productsHelp reduce technical debt and simplify systems with clean interfaces and consistent patternsThis is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice. #LI-Remote
What we are looking for:
Strong software engineering background building distributed systems at scaleProficiency in Golang, Python is a plusCloud computing skills (preferably AWS) and hybrid designsExperience with modern streaming processing Data platform tooling: Terraform (IaC), Docker and Kubernetes (production) and Airflow (or similar orchestration)Observability and reliability mindset: Grafana, CloudWatch (logs, metrics, traces), on-call participation, SLA awarenessStrong SQL skillsVersion control and CI/CD: Git/GitHub, pipelines (e.g. Codefresh) or similarSoft skills: clear communication, adaptability, self-management, critical thinking, collaborationEnglish: B1 or above Visa is an EEO Employer.
