Expectations: Under limited supervision and as assigned by the Physicist, Chief Therapist or Manager, provides discernible leadership to leadership to therapist staff regarding maintaining department quality expectations and customer service. Provides daily treatments for cancer patients. Positions patients and adjusts equipment for daily treatment dose delivery in a safe and effective manner. Documents necessary and verifiable information pertaining to daily treatments. Formally addresses patient concerns. Maintains a neat and orderly assigned work area. This position may require flexibility of hours.
EDUCATION: Associate's Degree or Graduate from an approved AMA school of Radiation Therapy Technology required.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Radiation Therapist, preferably working in the area to be assigned.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Required: Current Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) issued by California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart Association Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Preferred: Current Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Fluoroscopy Permit issued by California Department of Public Health (CDPH)
SKILLS: Knowledge of computers, anatomy, physiology, linear accelerators, simulator, treatment planning and equipment, body mechanics, isolation procedures, and standard precautions. Job Title: Radiation Therapist II Department: Rad-Therapeutic Shift Duration: 8 Primary Shift: Days Time Type: Full time Location: 100 W California Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91105 Pay Range: The estimated base rate for this position is $54.84 - $83.63.Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
