Universal Intermodal services all major US Ports and intermodal Rail Ramps and offers domestic door-to-door drayage to and from Ports, Rails, and Customer Facilities. We operate from 40 terminals and eight container yards. • Operate commercial trucks safely and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues. • Load and unload cargo as needed, ensuring proper securing of loads. • Transport goods to assigned destinations within scheduled timeframes. • Maintain electronic or paper logs of working hours, driving hours, and rest periods (DOT compliance). • Communicate with dispatch regarding delays, incidents, or route changes. • Ensure accurate completion of delivery documentation (bills of lading, delivery receipts, etc.). • Follow planned routes while adjusting for traffic or weather conditions. • Provide excellent customer service at delivery sites. • Keep equipment clean and report any necessary repairs. REQUIREMENTS:
