My client is a scientific‑driven global innovator with more than 500 patents, 8 manufacturing sites, and over 100 proprietary ingredients. Building on decades of leadership in nutraceutical science and high‑value ingredients the company is now launching a new business unit focused on trading and commercializing finished dietary supplements in B2C channels.
To drive this strategic expansion in Germany and Europe , we are recruiting a highly entrepreneurial:
Business Development Manager – (B2C Dietary Supplements)
Role Overview
You will build and scale my client’s new B2C supplement business . This includes developing sales channels, establishing partnerships, driving brand visibility, and ensuring strong commercial performance across online and offline retail. This role is ideal for a self‑driven, commercially minded professional with deep knowledge of the German supplement market and proven success in B2C channel development.
Tasks Market & Channel Development
Develop and execute the go‑to‑market strategy for my client’s B2C supplement portfolio Identify, open, and grow key B2C sales channels: E‑commerce (Amazon, online pharmacies, marketplaces) Retail & drugstores (DM, Rossmann, Müller) Pharmacies (Apothekenverbünde, wholesalers) DTC partnerships and digital brands Build relationships with distributors, retail buyers, and category managers
Commercial Growth
Drive revenue growth and achieve ambitious sales targets Negotiate listings, pricing, promotions, and trade terms Develop annual business plans for key accounts
Brand & Product Launch
Support product positioning, packaging, and marketing strategy for the German market Coordinate with marketing teams to execute campaigns, influencer collaborations, and digital activations Monitor competitor activity and market trends
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with R&D, regulatory, supply chain, and product management teams Provide market feedback for product development and portfolio expansion Ensure compliance with German and EU supplement regulations
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in the B2B dietary supplements sector Commercial background in sales and marketing, ideally with proven success in business development Strong network in pharmacies, drugstores, online retail, or Amazon marketplace Experience launching or scaling supplement brands in Germany is a strong advantage Scientific degree, ideally in food technology, biochemistry, chemistry, pharmacy, biology, or a comparable field Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build a business from the ground up Strong negotiation and relationship‑building skills Fluent in German and English Comfortable working from office home office with regular travel
