Oxford Lifelong Learning in the Department for Continuing Education is seeking to appoint a Quality Assurance Manager. This is a pivotal role within a small team, and you will be interacting with wide range of academic and professional services colleagues both within the Department and across the University, supporting a diverse portfolio of part-time undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

About the role

This role focuses on quality assurance processes for the Department’s academic programmes. Key features include advising course directors and their teams on academic regulations for new courses and course changes, servicing the Department’s main academic committees, maintaining registers of policies and guidelines, and servicing course reviews.

This is a part-time (0.6 FTE) position, available on a permanent contract, with scope for flexible working.

About you

You will be extremely well organised, and able to work independently while contributing to different teams. You should be able to assimilate and communicate complex information and have proven experience in servicing committees efficiently and effectively. Educated to at least undergraduate degree level, you will ideally have experience of working within academic administration in higher education, and prior work with academic regulatory frameworks would be especially helpful. You should also be proficient in office IT applications, have excellent interpersonal skills, and a have flair for producing concise, accurate and informative formal documents.
