About this role

The Department of Architecture, with the Faculty of Architecture and History of Art is pleased to invite applications for the role of undergraduate course administrator, working across the Architecture and Design Triposes.

Working within the heart of the Department and reporting to the Faculty Programmes Co-ordinator (Undergraduates) the post-holder will be joining a friendly cross-Faculty Professional Services team. The role offers the opportunity to shape processes and share ideas as the Department of Architecture expands further with subsequent years of the Design Tripos and a new 4-year integrated MArch degree.

This role is available on a permanent, part-time (22 hours per week) basis, with a minimum of four working days per week. The role-holder must be able to work Thursdays and Fridays and it is expected that they will work in Scroope Terrace during the three eight-week terms, with more flexibility outside these periods.

A typical day could include:

Answering student and staff queries, including booking travel for field trips Uploading course material or setting up assessments on the VLE (Moodle) Liaising with examiners/assessors to ensure student work is marked and data is retained and processed Creating and circulating a student survey Inputting data related to accreditation Planning/arranging an event Working with others across the Faculty to improve administrative processes

The role would suit a pro-active candidate with administrative experience, ideally in the Higher Education sector, although training will be provided. The successful candidate will have a good eye for detail and will be equally happy working alone or as part of a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to use and learn IT systems are essential.
