Job Title: ServiceNow Senior Developer (Strategic Portfolio Management – SPM) Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer – Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-grade SPM solutions on the ServiceNow platform. This role will focus on Demand Management, Project & Portfolio Management (PPM), Agile Development, Resource Management, and financial governance, enabling data-driven decision-making and strategic alignment. The ideal candidate will possess deep ServiceNow development expertise, strong understanding of enterprise portfolio and agile operating models, and the ability to create scalable, future-ready solutions that evolve with the organization’s strategic goals. Key Responsibilities ServiceNow SPM Solution Design & Delivery
• Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow SPM solutions including Demand, PPM, Agile Development, Resource Management, and Financial Planning. • Configure and customize ServiceNow SPM modules to support enterprise portfolio visibility, prioritization, and value realization. • Ensure solutions are scalable, configurable, and aligned with ServiceNow best practices and roadmap recommendations. Strategic & Business Engagement
• Partner with senior business leaders, PMOs, finance, and delivery teams to gather and translate strategic objectives into SPM capabilities. • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder interviews to uncover pain points, maturity gaps, and opportunities for optimization. • Act as a trusted advisor, bridging strategy, execution, and technology. Automation, Optimization & Governance
• Analyze portfolio, demand, and delivery processes to identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement. • Drive standardization of intake, prioritization, funding, and execution workflows across the enterprise. • Establish governance controls and reporting to support strategic alignment, transparency, and compliance. Technical Leadership & Delivery Excellence
• Develop advanced ServiceNow configurations including flows, workflows, business rules, UI policies, client/server scripts, and integrations. • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers and ServiceNow administrators. • Support release planning, upgrades, and platform enhancements with minimal disruption. Testing, Deployment & Continuous Improvement
• Lead and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring solutions meet business and strategic expectations. • Monitor production performance and adoption metrics, proactively resolving issues. • Continuously improve user experience, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency. Agile & Delivery Collaboration
• Collaborate with Agile Release Trains, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters. • Support Agile and hybrid delivery models within ServiceNow SPM. • Contribute to roadmap planning and backlog refinement activities. Future Roadmap & Growth Focus This role will play a key role in shaping the next-generation SPM roadmap, including:
• Expansion into Enterprise Agile Planning (EAP) and value stream management. • Integration of AI-driven insights for portfolio prioritization and forecasting. • Enhanced financial transparency through investment planning and cost modeling. • Deeper integration with ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, and APM for end-to-end visibility. • Adoption of data-driven KPIs, executive dashboards, and OKR alignment. • Continuous alignment with ServiceNow’s evolving SPM product roadmap. Qualifications & Skills Experience & Certifications
• 6+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and implementations. • Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow SPM / PPM modules. • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – Required. • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) – Required. • Certified Implementation Specialist – SPM/PPM (preferred). • ITIL v3/v4, SAFe, or Agile certifications are a plus. • Advanced knowledge of ServiceNow scripting and configuration: • Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts • UI Policies, Workflows, Flow Designer • Performance Analytics and Reporting • Integrations and data transformations
• Experience supporting Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery models in ServiceNow. Soft Skills & Leadership
