Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Governance
• Direct all phases of the power plant decommissioning, dismantling, and asset recovery activities. • Establish project governance, performance baselines, and key performance indicators (KPIs). • Manage the master project schedule to ensure milestones are met without sacrificing safety. • Control the project budget, tracking variances and implementing mitigation strategies.
Safety, Compliance & Risk Management
• Champion a zero-harm safety culture across all internal teams and third-party contractors, adhering to the EDC HSE system. • Ensure compliance with local, national, and regulatory agencies, and relevant environmental laws. • Oversee the mitigation of hazardous materials, including asbestos, heavy metals, and radiological risks. • Maintain a comprehensive project risk register, proactively identifying and neutralizing liabilities.
Operations & Contractor Management
• Select, onboard, and manage specialized demolition, engineering, and environmental remediation contractors. • Approve technical methods, demolition sequences, lifting plans, and hazardous waste logistics. • Resolve complex onsite technical, contractual, and logistical conflicts as the final point of escalation.
Stakeholder Engagement
• Serve as the primary liaison to EDC senior leadership, and, as may be designated, to regulatory bodies, and community and LGU officials. • Deliver transparent progress reports on project health, safety metrics, and financial status.
