About this role
We are seeking an experienced IT Software Asset Lead to manage and optimize FLSmidth's global software assets, ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and strategic alignment with business objectives.
* Develop, implement, and maintain FLSmidth's Software Asset Management (SAM) policies, processes, and procedures. * Conduct regular software license reconciliations and audits to ensure compliance with vendor agreements and minimize financial risk. * Manage the full lifecycle of software assets, including procurement, deployment, utilization tracking, and decommissioning. * Negotiate with software vendors for favorable licensing terms, pricing, and contracts. * Identify opportunities for cost optimization through license harvesting, consolidation, and alternative licensing models. * Collaborate with IT procurement, legal, and finance departments to ensure integrated and compliant software asset management. * Provide expertise and guidance on software licensing models, terms, and conditions to various stakeholders. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date software asset inventory records and documentation within SAM tools. * Prepare and present reports on software license compliance, utilization, and cost savings to management. * Stay informed about industry best practices, new technologies, and regulatory changes in software asset management.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. * Minimum of 5 years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM) or IT Asset Management (ITAM) in a global enterprise environment. * Proven experience with SAM tools (e.g., Flexera, Snow Software, ServiceNow ITAM). * Strong understanding of various software licensing models (e.g., perpetual, subscription, user-based, core-based). * In-depth knowledge of major software vendors' licensing policies (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, Adobe). * Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders. * Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven recommendations. * Relevant certifications (e.g., CSAM, CITAM) are highly desirable. * Experience with ITIL framework and practices. * Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
