Flowserve is launching a new Americas fulfillment center to support our aftermarket service solutions and Quick Response Centers (QRC). To maximize our savings and streamline our inventory model, we are seeking a highly analytical Staff Sourcing Specialist to act as a dedicated quoting specialist.
In this role, you will navigate our Approved Vendor List (AVL) to establish sourcing rules and mitigate the high price variances associated with quick-response manufacturing. By leveraging international low-cost and best-cost sourcing strategies, you will play a critical role in procuring components for our repeated usage inventory. We are looking for a collaborative, team-oriented professional with exceptional systems expertise who can seamlessly integrate into our high-performing procurement team.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
• Strategic Quoting: Serve as the primary quoting specialist for the new Americas fulfillment center, identifying cost-saving opportunities for repeated usage inventory. • Vendor & AVL Management: Master the existing Approved Vendor List (AVL) and implement strategic sourcing rules for various components to maximize margins. • Global Sourcing: Execute international low-cost and best-cost sourcing strategies to procure aftermarket parts and manufacturing components. • Data & Systems Management: Utilize ERP platforms, Power BI, and Advanced Excel to analyze pricing variances, track vendor performance, and optimize fulfillment center inventory. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the service and solutions teams, seamlessly integrating into a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive, team-oriented demeanor.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field preferred. • 2+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or supplier management in a manufacturing environment. • Experience sourcing industrial components such as castings, forgings, machined parts, valves, or other engineered products preferred. • Knowledge of supplier performance management, contract negotiation, cost analysis, and supply risk mitigation. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation. • Familiarity with ERP systems and standard Microsoft Office applications. • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills. • Professional certification such as CPSM, CSCP, or CPM is a plus.
