Born in Texas in 2003, we own and operate over 30 utility-scale wind, solar, and energy storage projects in local communities across the United States, totaling 4 gigawatts (GW) of generating capacity.

Job Summary: This Quality and Process Analyst (P2) provides support for Leeward’s Project Execution team in the construction of wind, solar, and BESS projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping to ensure the quality of our projects. As an analyst you will review specifications, installation manuals, review inspection documentation, and work closely with other team members to identify any issues that arise. This individual may also monitor activities at our project sites to help ensure consistency across portfolios and ensure best practices and procedures set by the department are being utilized to minimize risk to the company. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently. Essential Functions:
• Be knowledgeable on Leeward Project Execution policies and procedures • Identify quality & contractual risks and exposures by performing site Quality Control and Quality Assurance reviews • Interface routinely with site teams to understand daily work challenges and concerns, identify improvement plans as needed • Generate reports based on review findings and communicate findings to team members assigning responsibility for action items. • Work closely with site and engineering teams to identify and resolve quality issues • Document and report any issues or non-compliant items to the appropriate personnel. • Train team members on Quality Assurance and Departmental procedures and standards • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance Quality Assurance processes and systems • Assist in the development of a formal QA/QC program • Analyzes, summarizes and communicates findings regularly with Leeward management team
Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree in engineering, science, or a related field • 2+ Years applicable work experience in a quality control or quality assurance role in renewable energy construction. • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and procedures. • Excellent communication skills, including ability to clearly communicate with team and management • Ability to remain focused and reliable in completing tasks and meeting deadlines with minimal supervision • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong attention to detail and accuracy • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and manage reviews and inspections • Demonstrated ability to manage priorities in a complex and dynamic environment • Experience with quality management systems, such as ISO 9001. • Fundamental understanding of mechanical and electrical system and components of a wind turbine • Fundamental operations of a wind turbine operations • Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, hydraulic schematics, wiring diagrams and other common specifications
Please Note: This is an in-office role, requiring on site presence in our office a minimum of three days per week with hybrid flexibility of working remotely two days per week, subject to manager and policy approval. #LIHybrid Physical Demands:
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, twisting, reaching, and climbing at project locations to inspect and repair equipment or collect information • Ability to climb and work in a wind turbine which includes confined spaces and working at heights • Willingness and ability to travel at least 50%
• Position will require sitting for long periods of time as well as occasionally lifting up to twenty-pound boxes.
