Role Overview / Purpose and Scope
The HR Supervisor provides front-line Human Resources support to plant leadership and team members. This role is heavily focused on team member engagement, employee relations support, Workday data accuracy, and effective execution of HR processes during assigned shift operations.
The HR Supervisor has oversight of 2nd shift HR tasks and responsibilities and provides direct supervision, guidance, and support to one HR Assistant. This position plays an important role in ensuring HR support is available to team members and leaders during 2nd shift, while promoting a positive, fair, compliant, and people-focused work environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of plant leadership and team members.
• Build relationships and leverage HR subject matter expertise to help achieve organizational goals.
• Provide front-line HR support to plant leadership and team members, with a strong focus on engagement, employee relations, and Workday data accuracy.
• Oversee 2nd shift HR tasks, responsibilities, and daily support needs.
• Supervise, guide, and support the HR Assistant assigned as a direct report.
• Manage and accurately process team member and organizational updates in Workday, including new hires, terminations, job changes, pay changes, incentives, bonuses, leaves, and absence of administration.
• Ensure that electronic team member records are maintained accurately on Workday.
• Partner closely with Payroll to ensure employee changes are captured and accurately reflected in upcoming payroll cycles.
• Partner and communicate effectively with senior management, plant leadership, Payroll, Benefits, and other internal stakeholders.
• Assist team members with benefit-related questions and know when to leverage the expertise of the Benefits Specialist.
• Assist with tracking and administering recognition programs, including Team Member of the Month, prize raffles, and other engagement initiatives.
• Report gifts, prizes, or other taxable items distributed to team members to Payroll for tax purposes.
• Proactively manage, coach, and recommend resolutions to a range of team member issues.
• Create and implement performance plans, employee relations initiatives, or investigations to support a positive and fair work environment.
• Maintain compliance with applicable state and federal employment regulations and support risk mitigation efforts.
• Enhance the team member experience by resolving issues promptly, recommending new programs or benefits, and organizing team-building activities.
• Ensure exit interviews are conducted for departing team members.
• Ensure company-issued badges, keys, equipment, and reusable PPE are returned upon separation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Compensation
Compensation Range: $65,000 - $80,000
Additional Compensation: 2nd shift will receive a shift differential.
The posted compensation range for this role should reflect the minimum and maximum amount Farmer Focus in good faith expects to pay at the time of posting, based on factors such as internal equity, relevant experience, market data, and the budgeted amount available for the position.

Qualifications
• Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish or French required.
• 3–5 years of experience as an HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or equivalent HR role.
• Knowledge and understanding of laws, regulations, and best practices governing hiring and employment.
• Ability to operate with honesty and integrity.
• Ability to work well with others in a diverse environment.
• Ability to be flexible and work independently.
• Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to support employee relations, investigations, performance plans, and team member concerns in a fair and consistent manner.
• Ability to supervise, guide, and support an HR Assistant.
• Ability to work assigned 2nd shift hours.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting manufacturing or production staff in an HR leadership role.
• Prior leadership experience with direct reports.
• Experience using Workday HRM software.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
• Experience supporting HR operations in a plant, food processing, poultry processing, manufacturing, or production environment.
New team members must be able to pass a drug, alcohol and background screening post-offer and prior to the start of their employment. The Immigration Reform and Control Act requires that verification of employment eligibility be documented for all new employees by the end of their third day of work.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Travel
Work is conducted primarily in an office environment but will require access to the production environment. The team member must be able to tolerate varying heat, wet, and chill conditions within the plant when entering production areas. Hearing and eye protective equipment are required in the production area. Hair and beard nets are required in the production area. Additional personal protective equipment may be required based on task, location, and safety requirements. This role requires regular use of computers, HR systems, phones, office equipment, Workday, Microsoft products, and other administrative tools. The position may require sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and interacting with team members, supervisors, leaders, and HR partners throughout the workday.
