This role will be the first friendly face visitors come in contact with, the calm voice on the phone and the organizational force that keeps the Sompo Canada office operations running smoothly. You will work with Sompo Canada office staff and well as the North American facilities staff to deliver top-notch customer service.
The Facilities Coordinator reports directly to the Senior Vice President, Real Estate and Facilities, North America.

Our business, your impact, our opportunity: What you’ll be doing:
• Greet visitors, clients and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a welcoming first impression • Manage the front desk and reception area directing calls, visitors and vendors to the correct people and places • Oversee day-to-day office operations including ordering and stocking supplies, coordinating maintenance and repairs and managing vendor visits • Engage with vendors to schedule visits and ensure appropriate and consistent service • Submit all invoices for payment as needed and reconcile all expense reports monthly • Manage office seating and liaise with IT and managers on preparations for visitors and new hires • Ensure cleanliness and organization of all common office areas including meeting rooms, kitchens, print/supply areas and hallways • Liaise with building management to ensure all needed documentation is submitted and requirements are fulfilled
What you’ll bring:
• High School Graduate • (3 to 7) years’ experience in office administration preferred • Strong communication and organizational skills • Experience in vendor management preferred • Demonstrates analytical ability and sound business judgement • Ability to manage multiple priorities with urgency • Demonstrates ability to achieve goals through teamwork and collaboration • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, etc.) • Must be able to lift up to (25) lbs.
Salary Range: $65,000 – $75,000 CAD. Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.
